In June 2006, Ben Barois and I, students at Supinfocom, completed our end of term short film.
It tells the tale of a Scot, taunted by a mysterious bagpipe, whilst traveling through the misty Highlands.

We started working on the concept and story in November 2004.
The Story went through quite a few (radical) changes, overhauls, and different 2D/3D animatics, over the year and a half period before production.
We finally started production in March 2006, as the Story and animatic were “frozen”.
While Ben was busy taking care of the design and modeling of the characters, the texturing and shading, lighting and rendering, I was busy making the previz, rigging the characters, animating them, mixing the music and “cutting” it all together.
The comp was a shared effort with three other pair of hands, Vincent E Sousa, Elliott Kajdan, and Quentin Vien. And finally Fx Goby took care of the sound effects.
The production lasted around 4 months.

(The above shot was very short, so I had to loop the scenery footage, sorry ’bout that! )
And this… is our final animatic! (pretty close!)
